ART AND CULTURE
Italy describes itself as the “Bel Paese” thanks to patronage, a practice of values that have made the production of outstanding artistic masterpieces possible for centuries. When cultural production is increasingly neglected, the role of private companies is essential to support and enhance the creative intelligence that has always distinguished Italy as an artistic excellence in the international arena.
Why We Believe in the Power of Culture
Since its conception, BNBIZ has wanted to be a unique space where design, art, and culture come together for the pleasure of its customers. BNBIZ wanted to consolidate its commitment to the world of art and culture by supporting initiatives in the local and national territory thanks to the collaboration with curator Sofia Baldi Pighi. All BNBIZ spaces are curated and designed ad hoc by GioTirotto (www.giotirotto.it) and host new exhibitions of emerging artists from time to time.
LA FANCIULLA EDUCATA
On the occasion of the international day against gender-based violence, BNBIZ commissioned Clara Scola to create an ad hoc art project for the city of Fiorenzuola d’Arda. The project – curated by Sofia Baldi Pighi – includes a series of urban installations and a performance; both actions are explicitly designed for the city after spending a period of residency there.
In 2020, BNBIZ sponsored “Still Possible Thoughts,” an exhibition of immersive installations designed in harmony with plants’ organic and inclusive architecture. The project – curated by Sofia Baldi Pighi – took place at Cascinet AgroHub in Milan, a space for active construction and participatory urban regeneration.
In 2019, BNBIZ had the honor of hosting artists invited by the Duchy Prize as sponsors of the event, sharing the Prize goal of promoting dialogue between contemporary art and the local territory of the Duchy of Parma and Piacenza.
